Much of this is information is already included in the help files and the Knowledge Base.
But it is useful to have a PDF file that you can easily share and/or print for use by the IT staff you may be working with on an installation.
This ap note is focused on CobraNet but, because of the nature of real time audio networks, many of the concepts apply to and are useful in the planning and implementation of any audio network.

Thanks for making this available. To avoid doing a line-by-line comparison, how is this different to the excellent "Working with CobraNet" that is in the help/kc?

The "Working with CobraNet" section  in the K/C was actually derived from this document that was written a few years back. It should have virtually identical content. No meaningful differences at all.
I just wanted to make it available as a separate PDF so it could be easily disseminated in hard copy form if needed and also because it seemed preferable to be able to reference a specific document from within a different document, as is done in the new Dante NIONote.
