Welcome to the forum!
Yes, all NION processors are able to use any version of NWare. However, it is important that you update the NION firmware so that your computer and the NION are using the same version. Likewise, any Kiosk clients on the network also need to be using the same version as the NIONs / nControl / nTouch 180s that are also on the network.
It is easy to update the firmware on the NION once your computer and the NION are co-existing on the same subnet and can see one another. Select "Tools" then select "Update target firmware" and you will get a window that shows all the devices on the network and what versions of firmware they are running. You can select the devices (by clicking on them and choosing "Select for update") to be updated to the version of firmware that is being shown in the "Available Firmware" combo box below. Then hit "Update" It does take a few minutes and the NION will restart to complete the update procedure.
