Has any one tried running different firmware based Nions on one LAN ?
Can they coexist in this manner without any glitches ?

Yes.
You can have NIONs running different firmware versions co-exist on the same network.
However, all the NIONs in a project MUST have the same firmware version, and that version number must match the version of NWare that is used to deploy.
