RATC2 Command Groups

So when you telnet or login to the Nion via RATC2 you have an option to put Control Aliases into Change Groups and run a scheule that reports changes. What if we create a Command Group that we can put multiple controls in and modify all at once. For instance, I have a mixer with 12 channels. I put control aliases on the mute buttons M1-M12. I put M1, M3, M4 and M8 all into a command group called Mute. Then I can do a set command to put all of those controls to "on" or "off" at once.
What do you think?

No, won't work.  But you could connect all of those controls using peer to peer wiring, and now you would send a single "cs m1 on", and all twelve would mute.  Of course, they would always be peered together as a group.
So how about this as a workaround (did this for a job).  Place a 12 channel gain-level control in front of the mixer, and use the mutes in this device for mutes.  Since this has a master mute, and along with individual mutes, it could be exactly what you need.

I think the original post was a feature request...  noting the subtle terminology between 'change group' and 'command group'.
If it was... I'd second the idea... being able to group controls 'on the fly' would be l33t.

Joe, you are in fact correct. It was indeed a feature request.
